About Me
I am a marriage and family therapist along with a chemical dependency counselor licensed in Texas with over 15 years of experience working as a psychotherapist and addictions counselor. As a marriage and family therapist, I have worked with couples dealing with martial conflict, divorce, sexual issues, co-dependency, addictions, trauma, and past abusive relationships.
I have worked with individuals with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, addiction issues, issues with the criminal justice system, and parenting problems. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
My therapy style is interactive, with a focus on listening to your needs and skills. I believe that each person has the gifts needed to take on any challenge. My focus will be to help you unlock those gifts. I also believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral techniques, motivational interviewing, family systems, and dialectical behavioral techniques. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Chad Routon. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with ReGain might be different.
Chad is a wonderful therapist. Highly recommend him, he's been wonderful for us.
Just three weeks in, and getting up early on a Saturday is something I look forward to. I've found so much value in our sessions, and I'm grateful to have found someone who takes the time to understand issues in my relationship and genuinely wants to help.
