Alternative Energy Solutions

Alternative energy refers to energy sources that have no undesired consequences. Alternative energy sources are renewable and are thought to be “free” energy sources. They all have lower carbon emissions, compared to conventional energy sources and go a long way towards protecting our environment while also saving you money.

TriState Home Services offers a variety of alternative energy products and services designed for both residential and commercial projects. Our staff of expert technicians are well versed in maintenance as well as design and installation of new systems.

Rebates and tax credits make alternative energy solutions an attractive option for budget minded home owners and businesses looking to plan for the future, save money on their utility bills, and lower their dependency on conventional energy sources.

We offer FREE estimates and consultations for customers considering alternative energy options for their home or business.

Geothermal Energy

New Systems, Replacements, Water Heating and Pool Heating

Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHPs) are electrically powered heat pump systems that tap the stored energy of the greatest solar collector in existence – the Earth. These systems use the Earth’s relatively constant temperature to provide heating, cooling and, in some cases, hot water for homes and commercial buildings.

The ground is able to maintain a higher rate of temperature consistency because it absorbs 47% of the sun’s energy (heat) as it hits the Earth’s surface. Geothermal systems are able to tap into this free energy with an Earth loop. This allows the system to reach higher efficiencies (300%-600%) during cold weather, compared to 175%-250% for air-source heat pumps.

With the addition of a desuperheater, GSHPs can turn waste heat to the task of heating hot water. During the summer, when the system is in cooling mode, your hot water is produced free as a byproduct of the thermal process. In winter, with the heating mode, the desuperheater heats a portion of your hot water. Desuperheaters are standard on some units, optional on others. Stand-alone systems that will heat water all year around can also be purchased.

Our team has the expertise and experience in the replacement of existing GSHP’s and installation of new systems, including complex systems incorporating radiant floor heating, pool heating, and portable hot water.

As a ClimateMaster® GeoElite Dealer, TriState Home Services offers a 100% homeowner’s satisfaction guarantee on Geothermal system installations, which provides a refund of 100% of your purchase price if you are not satisfied with our installation. Contact us for more details.
